Two Divisions

That more or less explains the choice of pieces, but read my question again; what would it add to the variant list if were added, compared to Behind the Mirror? This is a key question that all variants creators need to ask themselves, especially as the list of variants expands.

Each piece has a function: the archbishops are for go to a division, the knight-rider is in case all the other pieces are traded (generates a counterplay at the endgame) and the amazon and the queen are to attack or defend. The kings are in the same division so that a division is not always attacked or defended. I chose that pawns can promoted to QRBN so that the queen can mate since the other pieces cannot mate and the amazon is powerful so would not let the rival do anything. I dont use any special rules on it due to the existence of the Amazon and its immense power.

What would you say sets this variant apart from Behind the Mirror? In terms of what it would add to the category of variants that they fall in?
