Self-stalemate

Pieces that turned into stone go brr.

Roles:

Wildbeast: The powerhouse, can turn the most pieces and blockade your own pieces the easiest

Grasshopper: Weak in the opening, is usually the most important piece remaining in the endgame (assuming the wildbeast is already traded off).

Xiangqi horse: Just... add to the blockade, I guess.

Alibaba: Is one of the best in terms of moving around.

Sergeants: More blockade, and may also somehow promote.

Also, they can get blocked easily for stalemate.

The strategy is to either trade in strategic squares (e.g squares your pieces can move to) or trade where more of your pieces are in the vicinity.
