In the land of chess, a new rule’s been made,

Now watch as it’s changed, a wild, frantic race!

The rooks can now hop like a knight on the board,

While pawns move backward, their mission ignored.

Bishops zigzag, no straight line in sight,

And queens? They shuffle, just pick left or right!

The king, he’s a joker, no longer in charge,

He dances in circles, at times very large!

Knights leap in spirals, they twist and they turn,

While pawns on the edge just wait for their burn.

Checkmate? Oh no, not today, my dear friend,

For the game may just change—there’s no clear end.

You’ll laugh and you’ll struggle, a mix of pure fun,

For in this wild game, who knows who has won?

So gather your pieces, bring wit to the board,

This April Fools’ Chess is far from a bore.

With moves full of chaos, each turn is a laugh,

In this game of surprises, the fun’s on the path!
