Neo-Rookmate
Capture the rook to get a king in your crazyhouse bank. Place it down anywhere to win. All other pieces cannot be placed back onto the board.
This game is elimination chess: If you can capture, you must. When you have one piece left, you lose.
This variant is a collaboration between me and Varinator1. You can see the original version of this here: https://www.chess.com/variants/custom/game/105065687/19/1

villagers chess vibes over here
more detailed description:
the main method of winning the game is to force your opponents rook to capture your pieces so you can force it to capture a defended piece and capture it on the next turn while keeping your rook safe
it is often a good idea to keep your rook behind two or more pieces for extra protection
the dragon bishop is a glass cannon it can attack important squares very easily due to its long range but it can also get pulled in and traded for a pawn or weak piece very easily
the hors is a weaker and less valuable attacker that can still be dangerous and attack important pawns or squares or fork pieces
the ferz is more mobile than pawns and is a strong defensive piece as it is hard to lure it or make it move due to its small range
sergeants can promote to a dangerous dragon bishop or control a decent amount of close together squares
because this game is elimination chess one strategy could be attempting to win material by trading your pawns for your opponents pieces then using the dragon bishop to capture weak or undefended pawns
it is a good idea to keep as many of your pieces defended as possible while slowly advancing your pawns to gain more space
attack the weak spots in your opponents position to win material or get a promotion rush while always making sure to pay attention to the rooks
endgames can be interesting because of bare piece rule because it prevents winning by giving away pieces unless both players have one piece left
in endgames the rook can be used to restrict opposing pieces but attacking pieces is not a good idea as the other rook can defend them then you lose your rook
